REF Soft Colour is ideal for refreshing permanent color, adjusting tone, creating lowlights and dimension, blending grey, or delivering a high-shine gloss service. Its liquid oil-based formula makes mixing and application easy while helping condition the hair throughout the color process. Formulated with moisturizing olive oil, soothing aloe vera and strengthening quinoa protein, Soft Colour helps support softness, strength and shine while depositing rich, customizable color. REF’s olive-green-based natural series also provides enhanced neutralizing capabilities when toning, while the coordinating shade system is designed to complement REF Permanent Colour.

How to Use

Lightly shake the Soft Colour bottle before mixing. Mix 1 part Soft Colour with 1 part REF Developer. Use 6 VOL / 1.9% for a softer, semi-permanent effect with a more gradual release of color, or 10 VOL / 3% for a more demi-permanent result with deeper deposit and slower color release. 

For the softest color effect, apply to clean, towel-dried hair using the desired application technique. Soft Colour may also be applied to dry hair when a deeper deposit and slightly more defined result are desired. Processing times vary by service: 30 minutes for full-head or natural hair applications, 20 minutes for refreshing mid-lengths and ends, and 5–20 minutes for toning or glossing. Shorter processing times provide a lighter deposit.

For a more translucent result, Clear 0.00 may be incorporated into the formula. Equal parts Clear 0.00 and 6 VOL / 1.9% Developer can also be used as a clear conditioning gloss on natural or color-treated hair.
